The dried on and hardened residue from inside your microwave can be challenging to clean. Most of the gunk can be removed by putting a coffee cup 1/3 full of water in the microwave, heating to boil (depending on the microwave size 3 to 5 minutes should work, but check yours), then wiping the interior with a microfiber cloth. Light scrubbing might be needed for stuck on areas.
