1/2 cup (125ml) vinegar
1/2 cup (125ml) water
Cleaning a chandelier can seem daunting, but it’s a task that should be undertaken every few hours. It’s a chore that’s well worth the time and effort once you see the brilliant shine restored. Before you begin, turn the lights off and give the bulbs time to cool (do not turn it back on during cleaning). Meanwhile, combine equal parts vinegar and water in a small spray bottle. Use a cloth to remove most of the surface dirt, then spray a clean, lint-free cloth with the vinegar mixture and polish each piece of crystal (spraying the chandelier directly can damage the metal fixtures).
