In order to be prepared for any kind of mess that can happen in the car, keep a box of baking soda and a small box of baby wipes handy. Sprinkle some baking soda on muddy spots on the floor mats, and they’ll be much easier to vacuum up after the mud dries. Or, if you happen to spill a little gas when you’re refueling at the pump, sprinkle some baking soda on a baby wipe and use it to clean your fingers. There are too many uses to list them all here, but you’ll be happy that you have both items on hand.
